Our Saviour’s Community Services (OSCS) provides dignified shelter and housing for single adults and basic education classes to adult English language learners in the Phillips Community of South Minneapolis. OSCS takes its name from Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, which founded our programs in the early 1980s. In 2004, we became a legally and financially independent nonprofit. We are not a religious organization. The Communications and Fundraising Coordinator produces and implements general and specialized communications that highlight the mission and programs of Our Saviour’s Community Services (OSCS) and drive individual giving. This role also involves maintaining the organization’s social media accounts, website, and supporter database, as well as the information those systems contain. This position works collaboratively with other members of the Development and Communications Team, as well as other staff members. Their work raises the visibility of OSCS and its programs and supports the organization in reaching its annual fundraising goals. This position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt, and reports to the Development and Communications Manager as part of the Development and Communications team. This position will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid workplace, with on-site hours required on Thursdays, the last business day of each month, and at other times as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of the role. This role is typically working Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm. Occasional evening or weekend hours are required for special events or engagements with staff, volunteers, or participants in evening programs.
