About The Position

Waldorf Astoria Chicago is seeking a Communications Ambassador to support guests by answering incoming telephone calls and helping deliver memorable hospitality experiences. The role is part of the Local 1 Union and requires complete open availability. Schedule restrictions cannot be accommodated, and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedules are based on seniority and business needs, may be minimal at times until seniority is established, and may vary from week to week.

The hotel is located in Chicago’s Gold Coast and has 215 rooms, more than 5,000 square feet of meeting space, and four food and beverage outlets. Waldorf Astoria Chicago is described as an AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Four-Star hotel.

Responsibilities

• Provide upbeat, friendly, prompt, and professional phone support for guest inquiries and requests.
• Stay informed about hotel services, amenities, and operations.
• Relay accurate, detailed information to appropriate teams during emergency situations.
• Use the PBX system, computer applications, and other technology to support daily operations.
