We are looking for a dynamic and creative communications professional with a well-rounded skill set–including digital media and some graphic design–to join the Institute for Social Concerns in our mission to grow justice, rooted in the common good. If you are skilled in this area and excited to share and enhance stories about engaging work in our community and around the globe, please consider applying! Reporting to the Assistant Director of Communications at the Institute, the Communications Program Director will collaborate closely with Institute leadership, and will undertake the development and implementation of an Institute-wide communications strategy that informs and engages center constituencies on and off campus and forwards the Institute’s mission. The position will also be responsible for implementing the day-to-day strategy across various media, and for creating the written and visual communications materials core to this strategy. (Note that an additional writer will support this work as well.) The position will also be responsible for maintaining Institute and University brand standards along with high standards of creativity, quality, accuracy, timeliness, and design; designing, implementing, and updating social media strategy on Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social networking sites to keep communication current, accurate, and engaging for social media users; enhancing connections and engagement with alumni; and editing video for use on social media and in stewardship efforts. We seek an energized colleague, capable of following through on multiple simultaneous projects, and able to work collaboratively to enhance the ability of the Institute to tell its story and forward its mission.
