About The Position

As a Commercial Product Specialist Milking, you will play a key role in achieving commercial objectives within the Milking proposition in the Benelux. You will work with colleagues from Lely International and the Lely Centers to successfully market the Lely Milking portfolio. Based on market analysis and sales figures, you will advise the Lely Centers (franchise organizations) on market approach. You will collaborate closely with marketing colleagues and contribute ideas for lead generation. You will translate new product introductions to the Benelux market, contributing to the right training and tools for the sales teams of the Lely Centers. You will train the Milking and Consumables sales advisors of our Lely Centers in the Benelux so they have all the knowledge and skills to provide the best possible advice to the farmer. The role of Commercial Product Specialist Milking is dynamic and offers a lot of room for initiative, creativity, and independence, with no two days being the same. You will work systematically and data-driven, enjoying discovering commercial opportunities through tools like Tableau. You will also be a co-organizer of trade fairs and events.

Requirements

  • Currently working in, or aspiring to a commercial role within the agricultural sector and wanting to take the next step towards a sales support role.
  • Experience with dairy farming and/or affinity with the sector.
  • A results-oriented, commercially driven mindset, with a passion for discovering opportunities and achieving goals.
  • Strong coaching and trainer skills, with enjoyment in guiding and developing others.
  • A systematic, structured, and analytical approach; working data-driven (e.g., via Tableau).
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • A team spirit and enjoyment of constructively critical collaboration with Lely Centers and the cluster team.
  • An independent, proactive, and flexible attitude, including willingness to travel within the Benelux, sometimes early or late depending on appointments and Lely Center or customer visits.

Nice To Haves

  • French and/or German language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and delivering product training and workshops for sales advisors to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Occasionally traveling with sales advisors for support and to identify trends and commercial opportunities in the dairy farming sector.
  • Managing, updating, and translating sales support materials and tools.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Lely Centers and the Business Team Milking, providing feedback on practical experiences and product updates.
  • Initiating and supporting marketing activities and events in collaboration with the Lely Centers.
  • Analyzing market and competitor data and translating these insights into commercial opportunities.
  • Supporting product validations and the successful introduction of new products (NPI).
  • Collaborating with international colleagues to share experiences, trends, and opportunities.
