About The Position

The Commercial Installation Technician installs, services, and maintains commercial systems, including mechanical and electrical components. The role calls for a team-oriented person who takes pride in their work and wants to advance their career. The technician installs systems and related equipment to manufacturer specifications, interprets installation documents, performs maintenance, follows safety protocols, and works with colleagues and customers to complete projects efficiently and professionally. The position may require out-of-town travel and night work when needed.

Requirements

General building and tool experience.
Ability to travel out of town and work nights when needed.
Strong desire to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities.
Willingness to obtain a chauffeur’s license if one is not already held.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work at high elevations and safely climb ladders.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Strong customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Commercial and/or supermarket refrigeration experience.
Brazing experience.
A certificate from a technical or trade school.

Responsibilities

Install commercial systems and related equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and other installation documents.
Service and maintain commercial units to ensure optimal performance.
Follow OSHA guidelines and appropriate safety protocols at job sites.
Collaborate with team members and contribute to a cooperative work environment.
Continually improve installation and brazing techniques to enhance efficiency and quality.
Maintain customer relationships through clear, friendly, and professional communication.
Stay informed about the company's services and solutions.
Work to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Perform all aspects of supermarket installation.
