About The Position

The Commercial Sales Intern – US supports key initiatives that strengthen our commercial organization. This role offers hands-on experience in sales operations, CRM systems, and enterprise selling methodologies while working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and leadership teams. The intern will play a critical role in supporting the rollout and adoption of core sales processes, tools, and methodologies, including The Edlong Way, Miller Heiman frameworks, and Salesforce enhancements. This role will support the rollout, adoption, organization, and continuous improvement of: The Edlong Way (sales process framework), Miller Heiman sales methodologies, Salesforce requirements and enhancements, Sales content organization and accessibility, Sales team communication tools and resource.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Interest in sales, sales operations, or business strategy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to synthesize information and create polished deliverables
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
  • Read, write, and comprehend written, electronic, and spoken instructions, memos, and correspondence, and to communicate professionally in English both verbally by phone and electronically.
  • Actively listen to customer needs and respond with appropriate product proposals to meet demands.
  • Effectively present and cross functionally communicate information in one-on-one, large, and small group situations to customers, clients, or other employees.
  • Perform, compute mathematical operations with a calculator, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Perform, compute mathematical operations, and apply concepts such as money, weight, volume, and distance to create and interpret graphs.
  • Work independently to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Develop positive customer relationships and respond to inquiries or complaints from customers in a proactive manner.
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form, deal with several abstract and concrete variables, and analyze results from comparison and other sensory tests.
  • Recognize and handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook).
  • Ability to learn and navigate CRM tools and internal business software (i.e., Salesforce, Plex, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in documenting and refining The Edlong Way sales process
  • Translate drafts into polished process visuals, playbooks, and checklists
  • Develop standardized templates to improve consistency and efficiency
  • Organize and maintain Blue Sheets and Gold Sheets
  • Create quick-reference guides and job aids for the sales team
  • Support reinforcement and training initiatives
  • Assist in mapping sales process stages within Salesforce
  • Review fields, workflows, and page layouts for alignment
  • Support documentation of system requirements and enhancements
  • Attend select sales meetings and internal strategy discussions
  • Shadow customer calls (when appropriate)
  • Observe account planning sessions and Blue Sheet reviews
  • Present project findings to sales leadership
  • Lead portions of internal enablement or training sessions
  • Conduct interviews with sales team members to identify process improvement opportunities
