About The Position

Tecta America Orlando is a commercial roofing contractor that began in 1990 as General Works Roofing and has grown to more than 125 employees serving Central and North Florida. The company’s mission is to provide high-quality customer service, safety, integrity, and professionalism. The Commercial Roofing Service Technician investigates, locates, and repairs leaks and defects in commercial roofing systems, including EPDM, PVC, TPO, built-up roofing, and low-slope metal. The technician manages commercial roofing projects from start to finish and is expected to deliver a high level of craftsmanship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in commercial roofing.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Valid driver's license with a clean record.
Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Able to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
Able to lift 50+ pounds and repeatedly bend, climb, and kneel.
Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 feet and working on a roof.

Nice To Haves

Experience performing work on government installations.
Experience working with a tablet; this is not mandatory, and training can be provided.

Responsibilities

Investigate, locate, and repair leaks and defects in commercial roofing systems.
Install and repair commercial roofs using systems including BUR, modified bitumen (torch applied), TPO, EPDM, and PVC.
Manage commercial roofing projects from start to finish.
Perform work to manufacturer specifications with close attention to safety.
