Entry Level Commercial Roofer - Service Technician
About The Position
Tecta America New England is hiring commercial roofers in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Under the direction of the crew’s Foreman, Commercial Roofers install, maintain, and repair commercial roofing systems, including EPDM, TPO, and PVC. The employer offers full-time, year-round work, career advancement opportunities, and training focused on employee safety and career growth. Starting pay is $22+ per hour, based on experience and other factors, with a sign-on bonus of $250–$750. The position may also be eligible for bonuses and other compensation. Applicants offered a position must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Requirements
- Commercial roofing experience is preferred; the employer will train suitable candidates.
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds regularly and 50+ pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and climb ladders.
- Reliable transportation to and from jobsites and the warehouse.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen if offered a position.
