About The Position
Akerman LLP is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with 5+ years of experience to support homebuilders and developers. The role involves managing high-volume commercial real estate transactions and taking ownership of deals from contract through closing. The position may be based in any of the firm’s U.S. offices, but candidates must have substantive experience supporting Florida commercial real estate transactions. Requirements
- At least 5 years of real estate paralegal experience in a law firm.
- Substantive paralegal experience supporting Florida commercial real estate transactions.
- Strong knowledge of title and survey review and contract administration.
- Experience independently managing multiple transactions.
- Proficiency in MS Office and iManage or similar systems.
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on closing experience for developers or homebuilders is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial land acquisition and disposition transactions.
- Review title commitments, exceptions, surveys, and legal descriptions.
- Prepare closing documents, binders, and trackers.
- Coordinate closings, funding, and document execution.
- Track deadlines and manage multiple active deals.
