About The Position

Responsible for installing and repairing mechanical piping systems used in heat transfer, compressed air, and material handling systems. The role involves work at commercial and industrial buildings in the North Austin area. No travel or per diem is offered.

Requirements

At least 3 years of recent, verifiable pipefitting experience.
Experience installing pipe in commercial and industrial buildings.
Personal hand tools required for pipefitting.
Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent hand/eye coordination.
Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions.
Ability to work overtime if needed.

Responsibilities

Install various types of pipes using blueprints.
Measure and cut pipes and tubing to the required angles and lengths using pipe power tools.
Thread and assemble pipe and tubing, including PVC, copper, and black pipe.
Connect piping systems using fittings, tack welding, or threaders.
Install valves, hangers, supports, and flanges in mechanical piping systems.
Test pipes to ensure functionality and safety.
Repair defective pipe.
Perform other job duties as needed.
