About The Position

Garney is hiring a Mechanical Piping Specialist to install mechanical piping systems, machinery, and equipment according to plans and specifications. The role requires reading and understanding blueprints and specifications to determine work procedures. Duties may also include laborer functions as needed. The position involves use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.

Requirements

One year of construction or mechanical-related experience.
Experience reading and understanding blueprints and specifications to determine work procedures.
Must be willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

Dismantle piping systems, equipment, and machines.
Move pipe, equipment, and machines using hoists, dollies, rollers, and hand trucks.
Assemble and install piping systems, including ductile iron, PVC, steel, copper, and black iron.
Install equipment such as pumps, collection mechanisms, generators, tanks, motors, shafting, conveyors, and rail systems.
Set and check anchor bolts and fastening devices before concrete placements.
Perform laborer functions as required.
