About The Position

A Mechanical Piping Specialist position is available at Garney. The role involves reading and understanding blueprints and specifications to determine work procedures, then installing mechanical piping systems, machinery, and equipment according to plans and specifications. The work uses hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools, and may include laborer functions as required. The position pays $24–$28. Applicants must be willing to work overtime. Requirements

One year of construction or mechanical-related experience.
Experience reading and understanding blueprints and specifications to determine work procedures.
Must be willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

Dismantle piping systems, equipment, and machines.
Move pipe, equipment, and machines using hoists, dollies, rollers, and hand trucks.
Assemble and install piping systems, including ductile iron, PVC, steel, copper, and black iron.
Install equipment such as pumps, collection mechanisms, generators, tanks, motors, shafting, conveyors, and rail systems.
Set and check anchor bolts and fastening devices before concrete placements.
Perform laborer functions as required.
