About The Position
Offit Kurman is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate or Counsel to join its Ft. Lauderdale office and support a growing litigation practice. This role offers an opportunity to handle sophisticated business litigation, manage cases hands-on, and work within a collaborative, entrepreneurial firm platform. The attorney will work alongside experienced attorneys on complex commercial matters and have the opportunity to grow their practice over time.
Requirements
- 5–15 years of commercial litigation experience.
- Strong experience with motions practice, court appearances, and depositions.
- Admission to the Florida Bar.
- Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Focus on financial services, real estate, and creditors' rights matters.
- Trial and/or arbitration experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Manage discovery and take and defend depositions.
- Appear in court for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and conferences.
- Assist with trial preparation and overall litigation strategy.
- Work closely with partners and clients on sophisticated business disputes.
