About The Position

The Akron, Ohio office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice. The role involves representing companies in complex commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts. The practice handles litigation, appeals, and regulatory proceedings for local, national, and international clients, as well as government agencies. Its clients range from Fortune 500 corporations and other large organizations to small businesses, individuals, and entrepreneurs across industries including manufacturing, banking, insurance, investment, medical services, technology, telecommunications, construction, sports, and entertainment. Partnership opportunities may be considered for candidates with extensive relevant experience.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of complex commercial litigation experience representing companies in a variety of federal and state litigation matters.
• Experience with financial fraud, securities, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, partnership disputes, shareholder disputes, loan disputes, construction litigation, and UCC litigation.
• Experience in all facets of litigation, including motions, depositions, complex discovery, court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Admission to the Ohio Bar is required.
