About The Position
Nelson Mullins is seeking a midlevel associate to join its Commercial Litigation group in its Houston office. The firm's Houston office is located in the Heritage Plaza building, a 53-floor skyscraper that finished a renovation in 2021. The office is situated in the heart of the city’s central business district, influenced by the culture of Houston and its community. Houston is a rapidly growing city and a major hub for the tech industry with a flourishing metro area and economy.
Requirements
- At least 3 but no more than 7 years of meaningful commercial litigation experience in a mid-size to large law firm setting or litigation boutique, or a similar level of trial experience in other settings
- Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Admitted to and in good standing with the Texas Bar

Responsibilities
- Draft and argue complex motions
- Propound and respond to discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Assist in both jury trials and bench trials
