About The Position

Nelson Mullins is seeking a midlevel associate to join its Commercial Litigation group in its Houston office. The office is located in the Heritage Plaza building in downtown Houston, a location that finished a new renovation in 2021. The area is heavily influenced by the culture of Houston and its community, which is a major hub for the tech industry with a flourishing metro area and economy. All candidates are asked to submit a cover letter, resume, and a copy of their law school transcript.

Requirements

• At least 3 but no more than 7 years of meaningful commercial litigation experience in a mid-size to large law firm setting or litigation boutique, or a similar level of trial experience in other settings
• Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Adept in case management
• Ready to take the lead
• Admitted to and in good standing with the Texas Bar

• Former federal clerkships

Responsibilities

• Draft and argue complex motions
• Propound and respond to discovery
