About The Position

Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary, a national law firm with offices located in major cities throughout the United States, is seeking an attorney with 2-6 years’ experience in private practice for an associate position. This role will be based in the Firm’s commercial litigation practice from its Chicago office. The attorney will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of litigation and contract reviews. The Firm serves the legal and business needs of the transportation industry on a full-service basis, with expertise in regulatory compliance, business structuring and transactions, litigation, insurance, labor and employment, highway accident defense, taxation, mergers and acquisitions, workers' compensation, logistics, driver leasing, warehousing, private fleet operations, outsourcing, and customs. They also represent clients in related industries such as insurance, alternative workforce strategies, construction and real estate development, manufacturing, retail goods, and professional services. The Firm has a national presence with offices coast to coast, and some travel is involved for this position.

Requirements

2-6 years’ experience in private practice
Admittance to the state bar required
Previous experience in litigation is required
Previous law firm experience
