About The Position

Foundation Risk Partners is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their SIP Insurance team in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for assisting P&C Producers and clients with all servicing needs, providing guidance to achieve business goals, and maintaining effective relationships with clients, colleagues, carriers, and vendors. The Account Manager must stay informed about industry trends, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology to enhance their knowledge and performance.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze complex insurance situations, needs, and options and communicate them clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand written and oral communication and interpret abstract information.
  • Knowledge of insurance products and usages.
  • Knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets.
  • Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures.
  • Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and AMS-360.
  • Ability to direct others.
  • Ability to work independently and take the lead on all elements of client servicing when necessary.
  • Advanced negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years insurance experience.
  • Property, Casualty Producers License.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support to P&C Producers, including managing client needs and analyzing coverage forms and quotations.
  • Accompanies P&C Producers on client and prospect meetings as requested.
  • Completes client applications, submits them to appropriate carriers, and follows up for timely receipt of quotations, endorsements, and policies.
  • Orders and issues binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and verifies their accuracy, forwarding them to clients with assistance.
  • Determines appropriate billing methods (direct, agency, or premium financing) and invoices accordingly.
  • Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals.
  • Processes renewals in coordination with P&C Producers, occasionally leading renewal meetings, strategy determination, marketing, and carrier negotiations.
  • Reviews policy audits, verifies accuracy, and facilitates corrections between client and carrier.
  • Verifies policy and policy change information, facilitating corrections when necessary.
  • Processes incoming mail and phone requests, responding promptly.
  • Uses agency credit and collection policy for invoicing and pursuing payments, requesting cancellations from carriers as per agency standards.
  • Determines reasons for cancellation requests, acts to save accounts, and notifies P&C Producers.
  • Processes and follows up on cancellation requests to ensure accurate and timely resolution, maintaining agency financial equity.
  • Identifies exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages in coordination with P&C Producers.
  • Prepares premium allocations for clients as needed.
