About The Position

General Parts Group is hiring experienced commercial kitchen technicians in the Chicago, Illinois area to service and repair restaurant equipment at customer locations, including restaurants, hospitals, schools, and commercial kitchens. The role focuses on hot-side commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills. Technicians with commercial refrigeration experience, or both cooking and refrigeration experience, are also sought. Technicians work independently in the field and support the service and repair needs of commercial customers. General Parts Group has more than 80 years of experience and a field service force of over 200 technicians supporting customers in 26 states. The company encourages technicians to pursue CFESA training certifications.

Requirements

• Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• EPA certification is required for refrigeration technicians.
• Ability to work independently in the field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills.
• Experience with commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk-ins, ice machines, and reach-ins.
• Experience as a combination cooking-equipment and refrigeration technician.
• CFESA training certifications.
