About The Position
General Parts Group is hiring experienced commercial kitchen technicians in the Chicago, Illinois area. Technicians service and repair restaurant and other commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations, including restaurants, hospitals, and schools. The company supports a field service force of more than 200 technicians across 26 states and provides service, repair, and maintenance for cooking, refrigeration, beverage, HVAC, and warewashing equipment. Technicians are encouraged to pursue CFESA training certifications.
Requirements
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA certification is required for refrigeration technicians.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or both.
- CFESA training certifications.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations.
- Work on commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills, commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk-ins, ice machines, and reach-ins, or both.
- Work independently in the field.
