About The Position

A well-known insurance agency is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Associate Manager in St. Petersburg, Florida. The role manages a large, established commercial lines book of business and supports mid- and large-market accounts. The position involves client-facing account management, handling new and renewal submissions, processing policy and billing transactions, preparing client documents, reviewing coverage and policy details, and helping retain assigned accounts. The manager addresses issues involving cancellations, claims, renewals, audits, receivables, and carriers. The role offers hybrid work, including client visits and in-office collaboration.

Requirements

Active property and casualty (P&C) license.
At least 5 years of account management experience.
Above-average computer skills and ability to become proficient in required programs.
Knowledge and understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages, including coverage lines with admitted and non-admitted carriers.
Prior experience in a client-facing role.
Experience working with mid- and large-market accounts.
Experience with various insurance products and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

Manage a large, established book of commercial insurance business.
Handle new and renewal submissions.
Review insurance contracts for inaccuracies.
Process endorsements, placement requests, and invoicing.
Prepare certificates, proposals, policy summaries, and reviews.
Check policy coverage and endorsements for all new business and renewals.
Retain all accounts assigned to the team.
Resolve issues concerning cancellations, claims, renewal issues, audits, receivables, and carrier matters.
Maintain client relationships and work independently or as part of a team.
