About The Position

This role involves managing an assigned book of commercial transportation and trucking insurance business. The Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring account retention and supporting new business acquisition. Key duties include coordinating daily administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and maintaining accuracy to prevent errors or omissions. The position requires active P&C licensing and specific experience in commercial transportation/trucking. While the role is posted as remote for residents of Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, individuals within a 50-mile radius of a branch may be required to work onsite in a hybrid capacity. A dedicated, distraction-free workspace is necessary for remote work, and remote work cannot substitute for personal responsibilities during working hours.

Requirements

  • Active P&C license
  • Commercial transportation/trucking experience
  • 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • Professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain technical competence and industry expertise in commercial insurance.
  • Direct daily activities of the account management team.
  • Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals.
  • Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals for renewals.
  • Monitor accounts receivable reports, take action on delinquent accounts, and collect outstanding balances.
  • Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and issues.
  • Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate client needs, and respond quickly to service requests.
  • Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  • Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance.
