About The Position

The Commercial Installation Technician installs HVAC/R and/or commercial kitchen equipment, such as fryers, grills, ovens, and freezers. The role includes mentoring and motivating team members and completing installations according to manufacturer specifications. Technicians communicate with customers, teammates, and the branch about work status and parts; accurately document work; and maintain their service vehicle, tools, and uniforms. The position involves extensive daily travel to job sites and work in varied temperatures and potentially hazardous environments.

Requirements

• Three years of installation experience involving commercial kitchen equipment and/or HVAC/R equipment, such as RTUs or chillers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must complete a satisfactory background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company safety standards.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Plumbing background.
• Contractor, journeyman, and/or HVAC certification.
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, lead, and motivate team members in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.
• Install commercial kitchen equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Design, fabricate, and install ducts and duct fittings as required.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members regarding repairs and status updates.
• Communicate parts orders to the branch.
• Document parts, work orders, timesheets, and other tasks accurately and promptly.
• Maintain the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms according to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
