About The Position

The Commercial Installation Technician installs HVAC/R and commercial kitchen equipment, such as fryers, grills, ovens, and freezers. The role involves working with a team and customers to complete installations safely, productively, and efficiently. The technician may also mentor and motivate team members, maintain service vehicles and equipment, and accurately document work and time. Extensive daily travel to work sites is required, along with work in varied temperatures and around electrical, steam, and high-heat equipment.

Requirements

• Three years of installation experience with commercial kitchen equipment and/or HVAC/R equipment, such as RTUs or chillers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Satisfactory background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that aligns with the company's safety standards.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Plumbing background.
• Contractor, journeyman, and/or HVAC certification.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial kitchen equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Design, fabricate, and install ducts and duct fittings as required.
• Mentor, lead, and motivate team members in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members about repairs and status updates.
• Communicate part orders with the branch.
• Accurately and promptly document tasks, parts, work orders, and timesheets.
• Maintain the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms according to policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
