About The Position

Feldkamp Mechanical, part of Kelso Industries, is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Installer / Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial HVAC systems in commercial and industrial environments. The role calls for hands-on HVAC experience, a strong work ethic, quality workmanship, and a commitment to safety. The technician coordinates with supervisors, project managers, coworkers, and other tradespeople, and represents the company professionally with customers.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial HVAC installation and/or service experience is preferred.
• Experience installing HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and system components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of RTUs, AHUs, VRF systems, split systems, and VAV systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in commercial and industrial environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA standards.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC apprenticeship or trade school training.
• EPA Certification.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
• Experience with commercial HVAC service and installation.
• Experience working on large commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
• Install ductwork, piping, equipment, and associated HVAC components.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service work as assigned.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Assist with HVAC system startup, testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and fellow tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and job documentation.
• Ensure work meets quality, safety, and company standards.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Represent Feldkamp Mechanical professionally with customers and coworkers.
