About The Position

Byrum Heating & AC, a NearU Company, is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead commercial installation projects from start to finish. The role leads job-site work and sets standards for quality, safety, and teamwork while installing and replacing HVAC equipment and systems. The Lead Installer also mentors helpers and apprentices, verifies system performance, performs startups and inspections, communicates with customers and project stakeholders, and completes installation documentation. Requirements

• At least 4 years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing installation projects and mentoring team members.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Certification (required).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work on rooftops, in mechanical rooms, attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff through final startup.
• Install and replace rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and duct systems.
• Read blueprints, job specifications, and installation plans to keep projects on schedule.
• Coach and develop Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
• Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and overall system performance.
• Perform equipment startups, testing, commissioning, and final quality inspections.
• Communicate with customers, project managers, and team members throughout the installation process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Complete installation documentation accurately and on time.
