About The Position

Atlanta Flooring Design Centers is a top 5 national retailer in the flooring industry, with over $200 million in sales and is 100% employee-owned since January 2024. We are expanding our Commercial Flooring Sales division and seeking experienced sales professionals who desire more than just a book of business; they want a stake in what they build. This role involves developing and managing relationships with clients throughout the commercial flooring lifecycle, guiding them through product selection, specification, and pricing, and managing the entire project from bid to completion. The company offers significant growth potential, with projections to nearly double in size over the next five to seven years.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven B2B or commercial sales experience, preferably in flooring, building materials, construction, or a closely related field.
  • Comfort reading blueprints and specs.
  • Ability to navigate General Contractor/bid-cycle relationships.
  • Self-starter capable of managing relationships independently.
  • Long-term mindset focused on building over the next decade.
  • Effective selling and closing skills.
  • Prior sales experience in flooring.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Willing and able to learn new products and trade knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the flooring industry highly preferred.
  • Some sales experience preferred; B2B experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with general contractors, property owners, architects, and developers across various commercial sectors including healthcare, hospitality, corporate offices, multifamily, education, and government projects.
  • Guide clients through product selection, specification, and pricing, utilizing in-house estimating, procurement, and installation teams.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial bid through installer coordination, site walk-throughs, and job completion.
  • Build a book of business and a pipeline that compounds, supported by the infrastructure of a large company.
