About The Position

Atlanta Flooring Design Centers is seeking experienced sales professionals for its Commercial Flooring Sales division. As a top national retailer and a 100% employee-owned company (ESOP), AFDC offers the opportunity to build equity and grow with a company projected to nearly double in size over the next five to seven years. This role involves developing and managing relationships with clients throughout the commercial flooring lifecycle, guiding them through product selection and pricing, and managing projects from bid to completion. The company provides a strong operational infrastructure, including in-house estimating, procurement, and installation teams, allowing sales professionals to focus on selling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven B2B or commercial sales experience (flooring, building materials, construction, or a closely related field).
  • Comfort reading blueprints and specs.
  • Experience navigating GC/bid-cycle relationships.
  • Ability to manage relationships independently.
  • Effective selling and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong work ethic.
  • Willing and able to learn new products and trade knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the flooring industry highly preferred.
  • Prior sales experience in flooring.
  • Some sales experience preferred; B2B experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with general contractors, property owners, architects, and developers across the commercial flooring lifecycle (healthcare, hospitality, corporate offices, multifamily, education, government projects).
  • Guide clients through product selection, specification, and pricing.
  • Manage the full project arc: initial bid through installer coordination, site walk-throughs, and job completion.
  • Build a book of business and a pipeline that compounds.
