Commercial Banking Operations Specialist I
About The Position
Nusenda Credit Union is seeking a full-time Commercial Banking Operations Specialist I to provide operational support that mitigates transaction and compliance risk for the Commercial Banking Department. The role reviews pre-funding requirements for loan files and business deposit accounts to ensure compliance with organizational documents, authorities, CIP requirements, and BSA regulations. It prepares accurate loan documents in accordance with credit approvals, ensures applicable collateral interests are perfected, coordinates third-party report requests, and handles booking and funding of new loans and renewals. The specialist also maintains exceptions and reports in tracking systems; handles loan billing, research, servicing, modifications, and collateral releases; and provides research and support to Commercial Relationship Teams.
Requirements
- One to three years of similar or related experience.
- Associate degree, completion of a two-year college degree, or equivalent.
- Experience multitasking, meeting strict deadlines, handling sensitive information, and resolving problems while providing exceptional service.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies and internal systems affiliated with the department.
Responsibilities
- Prepare loan input forms and board new loans, renewals, modifications, and extensions on the core system, typically involving standard loan structures.
- Process loan fundings, confirming funding requirements, approval conditions, and funding controls are satisfied before disbursement.
- Review loan documents against approved credit memorandums for compliance with approval conditions, policies, regulatory requirements, and funding controls.
- Ensure reporting and financial covenants are accurately incorporated into loan documentation and collateral security interests are perfected.
