About The Position

We are seeking a Centralized Processing Specialist II to support banking back-office operations. The position performs general ledger balancing and reconciliation, processes banking transactions and exceptions, responds to customer inquiries, and researches and administers bank records. The specialist works with minimal supervision and may use independent judgment to complete assignments accurately and on time. This is a contract position based fully onsite in El Monte, California. The pay range is $20.00–$29.00 per hour. The position is anticipated to close on October 23, 2026.

Requirements

• Banking back-office operations experience within a banking institution is required.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, meet sensitive deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Adherence to policies, procedures, and attendance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with FIS IBS Insight systems.
• Experience with ACH payments, bank wires, and general ledger balancing.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger balancing and reconciliation.
• Process return items, non-post and exception transactions, foreign items, ATM balancing, and adjustments.
• Respond clearly to customer inquiries by phone and email.
• Research and administer the creation, reproduction, and use of bank records accurately and promptly.
• Work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment as needed.
