About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking talent to join the 2027 Commercial Banking Early Career Development Program. This two-year program offers exposure to various Commercial Banking lines of business and their partners through four six-month rotations. The program promotes professional development and business skills acquisition through on-the-job experience and formal training, including an introduction to credit and banking fundamentals. Analysts will rotate across sales, product, strategy, and credit-focused areas, gaining diverse experiences to identify roles aligning with their career interests. Upon successful completion, participants will be prepared for roles such as Relationship Manager, Business Development Officer, Portfolio Manager, and others, fostering a long-term career at Wells Fargo.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Solid problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 or May/June 2027. All majors welcome.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a collaborative, change driven environment.
  • Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities through one or more of the following: volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad program(s), leadership position(s), non-profit involvement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, interest and/or experience in finance, accounting, and sales.
  • Familiarity with AI powered productivity tools (such as chat-based assistants and built in features like Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday tasks including research, organizing information, and creating presentations with a strong interest in learning and using these tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in the sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and execution of low complexity multi-million-dollar credit transactions as an active member of the deal team.
  • Conducting due diligence, analyzing financial statements, building financial models, and determining risk ratings to prepare comprehensive memos that support credit recommendations.
  • Leveraging market, industry, and company research and analysis along with product knowledge to ensure the success of business development efforts.
  • Receiving direction from supervisors and exercising independent judgment and accountability while working with teams on a variety of tasks, including compliance and risk management responsibilities.
  • Collaborating and consulting with colleagues and managers to complete deliverables, resolve issues, and help deliver business initiatives, communications, and other materials to internal stakeholders and clients.
