About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking talent for the 2027 Commercial Banking Early Career Development Program. This two-year program offers exposure to various Commercial Banking lines of business and their partners through four six-month rotations. The program focuses on professional development and business skills acquisition via on-the-job experience and formal training, including an introduction to credit and banking fundamentals. Analysts will rotate across business areas like sales, product, strategy, and credit, gaining diverse experiences to identify career interests. They may participate in sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and executing credit transactions, conducting due diligence, analyzing financial statements, building financial models, and determining risk ratings. The role involves leveraging market research and product knowledge for business development, receiving direction from supervisors, exercising independent judgment, and collaborating with teams on tasks including compliance and risk management. Analysts will also collaborate with colleagues and managers to complete deliverables, resolve issues, and support business initiatives and client communications.

  • Familiarity with AI powered productivity tools (such as chat-based assistants and built in features like Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday tasks including research, organizing information, and creating presentations with a strong interest in learning and using these tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and execution of low complexity multi-million-dollar credit transactions as an active member of the deal team.
  • Conduct due diligence, analyze financial statements, build financial models, and determine risk ratings to prepare comprehensive memos that support credit recommendations.
  • Leverage market, industry, and company research and analysis along with product knowledge to ensure the success of business development efforts.
  • Receive direction from supervisors and exercise independent judgment and accountability while working with teams on a variety of tasks, including compliance and risk management responsibilities.
  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to complete deliverables, resolve issues, and help deliver business initiatives, communications, and other materials to internal stakeholders and clients.
