About The Position

As a Commercial Business Account Manager, you’ll ensure our community business accounts receive advice and services tailored to meet their unique needs and business goals while making a positive impact on society, the environment, and the community. This is a Temporary, Full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. This role may require you to work on-site or in the community at least once a week.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or university level diploma in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing business accounts and portfolios
  • Experience in the financial institution or banking industry is an asset
  • Strong skills in developing and maintaining new and existing client relationship
  • Exposure to mission-aligned member relationships and social enterprise activity
  • Board-level involvement or governance experience
  • Research and analytical skills to evaluate trends and recommend actions

Responsibilities

  • Assessing, anticipating and responding to member needs to maximize the Commercial Business offer
  • Monitoring assigned portfolio, identifying credit risk and recommending course of action as appropriate
  • Authorizing credit applications within limits and recommend/submit applications above authorized limits in accordance with credit application guidelines
  • Providing accurate and complete information enabling the achievement of high quality Community Business credit applications
  • Sourcing, maximizing and leveraging community impact opportunities and achieve increasing volumes through cross-division collaboration
  • Monitoring, analyzing and reviewing new and existing Community Business Member accounts including loans (annual reviews), deposits and their supporting documentation to enable Community Business to effectively mitigate Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing risks
  • Sourcing, developing and maintaining new and existing relationships in order to achieve Community Business and Investment divisional goals
