This role serves as the day-to-day contact for all client requests within a book of business, primarily focusing on Mid-Market accounts or Emerging construction and real estate accounts. The Commercial Account Manager prepares renewal materials such as premium and loss summaries, exposures, coverage comparisons, and premium and rate information related to builder's risk and other project-specific risk insurance programs. This position partners with the Account Executive on client interactions, negotiations, technical analysis, and program design, with an emphasis on anticipating problems through client or underwriter communications and industry changes. The role involves creating marketing submissions, managing negotiations with carriers, reviewing quotes for accuracy and desired coverages, terms, and pricing, and generating proposals. Additionally, the Commercial Account Manager handles policy reception, sends instructions to the Center of Excellence (COE), and processes policies if needed. Responsibilities also include premium allocations, surplus lines template preparation, Certificate of Insurance request template preparation and master approval, on-demand certificates, basic contract reviews, policy endorsements, resolving coverage and premium discrepancies, and performing audits on expired or non-renewed policies.
