About The Position

This position is responsible for performing various tasks in the hatchery while following all Company Safety and Animal Welfare Policies. The primary responsibility is overseeing the embrex transfer process of the hatchery. The work schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with an estimated 13 hours per day. There may be times that require working more than 13 hours depending on machine issues. This role also requires working holidays.

Requirements

• Reading, General Math and Writing Skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing and able to stand for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the egg transfer process.
• Ability to mix vaccine by following the standard operating procedure.
• Start up and Shut Down of transfer equipment.
• Able to manage small crew of 10 or fewer people.
• Ability to keep up with vaccine and supplies inventory and let management know when vaccine or supplies need to be ordered.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, embrex equipment, and work area.
• Document machine status and perform light maintenance as required.
• Able to work in hot, cold environments with occasional extended shifts.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY MANAGEMENT.
