About The Position

The Collision Estimator - Collision Center is responsible for greeting customers, recording their concerns to generate accurate estimates, and scheduling vehicle drop-offs and rentals. This role involves significant interaction with customers and insurance companies for scheduling, coordination, status updates, and deliveries. The estimator will track the status of open repair orders, work with technicians on supplements for insurance companies, and document all communications. They are also responsible for notifying the collision center manager of customer concerns, striving to meet management benchmarks for sales and customer satisfaction, and maintaining the accounts receivable schedule with the assistance of the office manager. Additionally, the role requires using a personal device for multi-factor authentication to secure company networks and enforcing safety precautions. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Education
  • I-CAR Gold Level 1
  • Continuing education required
  • Previous Collision Center experience
  • Valid driver’s license without restrictions that affects your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with a wide range of individuals
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to take initiative in development and completion of people and projects
  • Strong PC skills
  • Ability to maintain a good driving record and valid driver license
  • Regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear
  • Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision
  • Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol urinalysis and be able to drive a vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and carefully record the customer’s concerns to generate an accurate estimate
  • After authorization is given for repairs by the customer schedule vehicle for drop and rental if needed
  • Customer and insurance interaction and communication including but not limited to scheduling, coordinating, status updates and deliveries
  • Track the status of open repair orders during the day keeping all relevant parties informed
  • Work with the technicians to create supplements for submission to insurance company
  • Document all conversations with customers and insurance companies within the work file
  • Promptly notify the collision center manager of any customer concerns
  • Strive to meet management’s benchmarks for sales per repair order, total gross profit, and customer satisfaction scores
  • Maintain accounts receivable schedule along with the assistance of the office manager
  • Uses personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.
