About The Position

The Gaylor Electric Summer Internship Program is an 8-to-11 week paid opportunity for college students to gain meaningful career growth. The program combines access to industry-leading technical skill development and world-class, career-related professionalism training. Students are placed across the country at national Gaylor Electric locations and job sites. Throughout the summer, students will participate in resume development, interview preparation, business best practices discussions, and receive professional headshots. The experience culminates with an academic capstone presentation or craft skills assessment. This internship offers construction career exploration, technical skill honing, and robust professionalism development. Students will develop skills related to their academic field of study, enhance their professional resumes, improve interview habits, build networking skills, and refine professionalism approaches. They become valued members of the Gaylor Electric culture and learn about high-value, high-opportunity positions in the trades. The internship allows students to expand their knowledge outside the classroom, apply academic concepts, gain hands-on real-world experience, develop their potential, and make key contacts for future networking. It also provides an opportunity to determine interest levels in certain career fields, receive feedback from professionals, and further education.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Architectural Engineering, Electrical, Civil and Construction), Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or any other related college or work-related experience.
