About The Position

The 2027 Gaylor Electric Summer Internship Program is designed for college students seeking meaningful career growth. This program combines industry-leading technical skill development with world-class professionalism training. Over the past three years, we have welcomed students from over 70 institutions. With more than 200 students participating in our summer program, interns are placed across the country at national Gaylor Electric locations and job sites. Throughout the summer, interns will have access to resume development, interview preparation, discussions on business best practices, and professional headshots. The experience culminates with an academic capstone presentation or a craft skills assessment. Gaylor Electric's internship programming offers an opportunity for construction career exploration, honing of technical skills, and robust professionalism. We offer positions in Field, Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, BIM/VDC, Safety, and Corporate roles such as Accounting, Human Resources, Education, Information Technology, and Marketing. Interns will not only develop skills related to their academic field of study but will also intensely curate their professional resumes, interview habits, networking skills, and professionalism approaches. They become valued members of the Gaylor Electric culture and learn what it means to hold a high-value, high-opportunity position in the trades. Our Summer Internship program is an 8-to-11 week paid opportunity. Your internship at Gaylor Electric can be the perfect chance to expand your knowledge beyond the classroom and apply the concepts and theories of your major field of study. The hands-on, real-world experiences encountered during our internship program enable you to develop your potential and make key contacts for future networking. Use your internship to determine your interest level in certain career fields, get feedback from professionals regarding your strengths and weaknesses, and to further your education and expand your resume.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree that aligns with Gaylor Electric's needs: Construction Management, Engineering (Architectural Engineering, Electrical, Civil and Construction), Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or any other related college or work-related experience.
