About The Position

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a College Brand Manager (CBM) for either its Daytona Beach, Florida or Prescott, Arizona campuses. The CBM will be responsible for leading and executing the strategic direction, vision, and creative standards for college-specific external communications and marketing efforts, aligning with the university's broader goals. This role will focus on Business and Business, Security and Intelligence across the university, working directly with deans, associate/assistant deans, chairs, faculty, and support staff. Collaboration with university marketing, multimedia, information technology, news, and social media teams is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a communications field such as public relations, communications, marketing, or other related areas.
  • Five years of progressively responsible relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Relevant experience in multiple specialty areas (e.g., aviation/aerospace).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other communications professionals including writers, editors, graphic designers, web designers/developers, photographers, and video production professionals.
  • Exceptionally strong oral and written communications skills, including editing and writing experience across long- and short-form print, web, video, and social media pieces and other platforms.
  • Strong understanding of social media's power, including current and future trends that may impact messaging.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High-level understanding of and experience with communications strategy and branding, especially as they relate to higher education.
  • Great project management skills to direct and guide colleagues in a fast-paced environment with simultaneous complex projects and multiple deadlines to deliver excellence on time.
  • Significant experience working on a wide variety of communications projects including digital and print magazines and newsletters.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard publishing tools such as Adobe InDesign, Canva, Photoshop and Sitecore, Microsoft Office suite, Hootsuite, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Write compelling content for annual reports or magazines based on input from college administration and faculty, and identify supporting photography.
  • Collaborate with design and production colleagues to ensure high-quality, brand-consistent deliverables.
  • Contribute strategic content to primary college-level social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) in support of Embry-Riddle’s SIT goals.
  • Partner with college stakeholders to plan, write, and send electronic communications (newsletters/email marketing) to diverse audiences.
  • Develop external marketing and communication initiatives in alignment with the strategic vision and brand of the University.
  • Develop a data-driven understanding of the Colleges’ target audiences and influencers.
  • Create marketing and communications programs and initiatives to address short- and long-term opportunities and needs within specified timelines and resources.
  • Utilize a broad set of channels, including email and social media, to design and execute strategies and tactics that increase brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Strategy & Brand Management team to design themes and tone for publications, annual reports, event marketing, and other college-related initiatives.
  • Write original material for publication via articles, reports, newsletters, etc.
  • Write or edit all high-profile content for style, tone, and structure.
  • Confer with deans, program coordinators, faculty, and staff regarding articles, reports, newsletters, etc.
  • Collaborate with the News, Development, Multimedia, Social Media, and Web teams to provide newsworthy information for distribution.
