About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Collections Coordinator, this position is responsible for administrative support in the Finance Department and specifically the accounts receivable area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • A minimum of two years of collection or related experience.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to operate computers for data entry and word processing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill.
  • Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems.

Responsibilities

  • Makes outbound collection calls on past due accounts
  • Updates system notes with details of account activity
  • Mails out notices/invoices upon request and on a monthly basis
  • Creates a clear payment plan on past due accounts
  • Processes payment requests via credit/debit card.
  • Updates the Workday system with customer contact information
  • Pulls files for release of lien.
  • Prepares and mails out releases for AR team.
  • Provides administrative support to the Finance Dept to include scanning, filing, answering phones, covering lunch at front desk and directing customer traffic.
  • Receives, and collects payments while at front desk.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Research Government records and PRAD for recorded lien information
  • Update spreadsheet information on mailed releases, outbound calls etc…
