About The Position

The Colleague Health Services Manager (RN) is responsible for leading the successful development and delivery of the customer focused, clinical programs of Colleague Health Services for the Hartford Region of Hartford HealthCare. The Colleague Health Services Manager provides consultative support and leads others to promote the health and safety of all colleagues. While ensuing regulatory compliance with OSHA Standards, CDC Guidelines, and applicable federal/state guidance for healthcare workers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
  • 3-5 years nursing experience
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role
  • Prior supervisory experience in Occupational Health
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, CDC guidelines, infectious disease and worker safety program requirements for a healthcare setting
  • CT RN License
  • Proven ability to excel and lead by example in a fast paced and continuously evolving environment
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication, and outstanding collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, change and project management skills
  • Strong collaboration and team work to share knowledge and influence best practices
  • Effectively prioritize work in support of multiple competing programs and projects
  • Be flexible and available to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to design and present formal presentations on a variety of work-related topics
  • Interested in remaining current in established field through participation in seminars, networking, and awareness of external environment
  • Proven skilled use of virtual meeting platforms, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, REDCap, Electronic Health Record platforms, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and oversight for the daily operations of Colleague Health Services.
  • Administers and coordinates health promotion programs and illness/injury prevention programs to prevent occupational injury and health problems. Programs include: universal vaccination, respiratory protection, tuberculosis surveillance, blood borne pathogens, hearing conservation and environmental safety.
  • Develops, improves and coordinates procedures for pre-employment examinations.
  • Monitors the timely medical clearance for all new colleagues.
  • Partners with diverse teams and leaders across the organization on system-wide programs and initiatives
  • Monitors and audits health records and documentation to ensure compliance based on OSHA Standards, CDC Guidelines, and applicable federal/state guidance for healthcare workers.
