About The Position
McFarland Clinic is accepting applications for a Coder-Non-Certified in its Ames office. The role reviews and edits charges entered into the practice management system to ensure accuracy before claims are processed for billing, insurance filing, and revenue reporting. It reviews service documentation and selects appropriate CPT and ICD-10 diagnosis codes. Other duties include manual keying, scanning charge documentation, assisting with the development of data-entry and editing procedures, waiver validation, and training. The position also performs other duties as assigned in accordance with McFarland Clinic's Core Values and Promise. Candidates should be service-oriented, work well as part of a team, and support the clinic's commitment to extraordinary patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or HiSET.
- Minimum of one to two years of medical billing experience.
- Be service-oriented and a team player.

- Associate degree in business or a related field.
