About The Position

The St. James Hotel is seeking a creative, friendly, and motivated team player to provide exceptional guest experiences in The Port, its cocktail lounge. The role involves serving food and beverages with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism, and providing guests with information about the menu, hotel services, and local attractions. The bartender should have knowledge of—or be willing to learn—cocktail mixology, elevated wines, and high-end liquors. The position is available Wednesday through Saturday evenings.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

Two years of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
Experience with POS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages promptly and with high-quality service.
Provide guests with information about food, drinks, hotel services, and local attractions.
Support cleanliness in restaurant and bar areas.
Accurately manage transactions, handle cash responsibly, and reconcile financials at the end of shifts.
Coordinate with team members across departments to provide seamless service for guests and events.
Learn and maintain product knowledge, including cocktail mixology, wines, and liquors.
