About The Position

East and West Ridge Animal Hospitals, two collaborative sister practices in Klamath Falls, Oregon, are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team as Co-Medical Director alongside Dr. Carolyn Whitaker. This is an excellent opportunity for veterinarians with 3+ years of clinical experience who are ready to take the next step in their career. As Co-Medical Director, you'll partner with Dr. Whitaker to help lead two companion animal hospitals located just six miles apart. Your focus will include: Mentorship and development of veterinary team members, Supporting hospital culture and employee retention, Promoting high-quality patient care and client service, Identifying opportunities for hospital growth and innovation, Collaborating on medical standards and best practices. We're seeking a veterinarian who enjoys leadership, values teamwork, and finds fulfillment in helping others succeed.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine, or equivalent certification for international graduates
  • Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
  • Active Oregon veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
  • Minimum of three years of clinical veterinary experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience utilizing digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics
  • Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine
  • Strong mentorship, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proven adaptability, initiative, and team-building abilities
  • Prior exotic animal experience
