About The Position

The CNC Programmer-Machinist develops, writes, and proves out CNC programs for machining complex geometry to close tolerances on multi-axis machining centers. The role also sets up and operates numerically controlled machines as needed, creates or modifies tooling and fixtures, and recommends and sets up tools, fixtures, and programs for new jobs. The position improves existing tools and programs, documenting setups in setup-sheet format and editing programs to improve efficiency, correct issues, or address production changes. The role maintains detailed records of CNC programs, modifications, and tooling used for each operation; assists with machinist training and provides technical support; and works with engineering and production on new product development and changes to existing products. It also troubleshoots the DNC system, maintains a clean and safe workplace, and performs other related duties as directed by management.
