CNC Machinist/Programmer
About The Position
MasterTech is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer in Salt Lake City. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating Mazak machines using Mazatrol, as well as troubleshooting machinery and operating mills and lathes. The Machinist/Programmer will work with engineers and designers to interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings; develop machining strategies to improve productivity; mentor junior machinists; and maintain a clean, safe work environment. The position starts at $30.00–$48.00 per hour. The employer pays 100% of individual benefits, with a family benefit plan available. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance contributions, paid time off, and a 401(k) with matching contributions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 6:00 AM start and 10–12-hour days, averaging approximately 52 hours per week. Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in the trade.
- High proficiency with Mazak Mazatrol.
- Excellent understanding of G-Code programming and CNC machining principles.
- Experience programming with Mastercam software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

- Leadership experience is preferred but not required.
