  • Train and mentor employees in programming, setup, machine operation, and machining best practices; support hiring, performance evaluations, and employee development.
  • Promote safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, edit, and optimize Mastercam programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling, including simultaneous 5-axis and 3+2 machining; support CNC turning and mill-turn operations as needed.
  • Optimize toolpaths, fixturing strategies, and tooling selections to improve cycle times, efficiency, and part quality.
  • Verify programs using simulation and machine verification tools to reduce collisions, scrap, and rework.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and GD&T requirements; troubleshoot machining issues involving setups, offsets, tool wear, tolerances, and surface finishes.
  • Support new product introductions, first-article inspections, and process documentation.
  • Plan and prioritize machining schedules to meet customer delivery commitments and maximize machine utilization.
  • Monitor KPIs including on-time delivery, scrap and rework, OEE, and labor efficiency.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues and nonconformances.
  • Implement lean initiatives such as 5S, setup reduction, and standard work; identify opportunities to improve processes, automate operations, and expand multi-axis machining capabilities.
