About The Position

As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, you are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and/or ACME equipment to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. You are expected to follow safe work procedures and produce parts to high quality standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and meet operational deadlines.

• Prior experience working in a light industrial facility.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate ACME, CNC, and Tool & Die equipment to produce parts according to blueprints, layouts, and templates.
• Plan the sequence of operations using knowledge of materials.
• Assist with setup and operate multiple machines simultaneously to produce a variety of machined products.
• Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, and written or verbal instructions.
• Check material for the correct size and type.
• Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to inspect work in process and ensure it meets specifications.
• Move materials as needed while performing duties.
• Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
• Report faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to a supervisor.
• Complete required quality checks, documents, and production documentation.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed; these may require working beyond normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.
