About The Position

As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC and/or ACME equipment to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. You are expected to follow safe work procedures and produce parts that meet high quality standards. The position may involve operating multiple machines simultaneously and performing other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require working beyond normal shift hours or the normal work week to meet company needs.

Requirements

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and meet operational deadlines.

• Prior experience working in a light industrial facility.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate ACME, CNC, and Tool & Die equipment to produce parts according to blueprints, layouts, and templates.
• Plan the sequence of operations based on knowledge of materials.
• Assist with setting up and operating multiple machines simultaneously for a variety of machined products.
• Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, and written or verbal instructions.
• Check material for the correct size and type.
• Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to inspect work in process and ensure it meets specifications.
• Move materials as needed to perform job duties.
• Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
• Report faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to a supervisor.
• Complete required quality checks, documents, and production documentation.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and keep the work area neat and orderly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
