About The Position

Plansee’s Franklin, USA site transforms semi-finished molybdenum and tungsten products into complex components. The CNC Machinist will set up and operate horizontal and vertical 5-axis CNC machines, contribute to multi-machine operation, and produce complex jobs using work instructions or guides. The role uses Kiwa and Okuma machines with Fanuc and Okuma controls. This is an hourly position listed as Level 2 or 3.

Requirements

• CNC Machinist Level 2 or 3 qualifications.
• Ability to operate Kiwa and Okuma machines with Fanuc and Okuma controls.
• Ability to set up and operate horizontal and vertical 5-axis CNC machines.
• Ability to contribute to multi-machine operation.
• Ability to understand blueprints and GD&T.
• Fluency in using measuring equipment, from hand tools to CMMs and optical comparators.
• Ability to read and understand G and M codes.
• Ability to perform simple program edits as needed.
• Ability to set up complex jobs using work instructions or guides.
